Stopping for a Global Moment
in Time

Memphis
Millions of Elvis fans can't be wrong. Monday, fans young and old
paused to remember the King of Rock 'n' Roll in a Global Moment
in Time. The craze began 50-years ago Monday. Memphis put on a huge
party, and the whole world was invited. What a great moment, when
the original 1954 recording of the 'That's All Right' was simulcast
around the globe right from Sun Studio. This day has been a golden
moment that the world will not forget.
It's the song that started it all. 50-years ago guitarist Scotty
Moore recorded "That's All Right" with Elvis Presley at
Sun Studio. Moore says he didn't know he was making history back
then. "Everybody was in the right place at the right time,
I guess. Bill and I had never heard the song. Elvis knew it and
he started singing it and we fell, just fell in with him."
It's that moment that the world celebrates, the golden anniversary
of rock and roll.
Issac Hayes, record producer said, "It's exciting, it's very
exciting, It's a Memphis Thang." Millington's Justin Timberlake
was on hand for the celebration. He talked about Elvis' influence
over music today. "Music Today is such a fusion of everything.
Being here to celebrate 50 years of rock and roll with Elvis Presley,
who was really one of the first artists to fuse different types
of music." Timberlake's girlfriend Cameron Diaz was also in
town, but kept a low profile at the event...

JC Chasez
All Day Long I Dream About Sex (Jive)
5 of 5 stars
Not the luckiest guy in pop, JC Chasez has had his fair share of
knock backs recently. Despite finishing his album the same time
as Justin’s (and it being far superior to Justified),
the record company chose to sit on it for a year in order to give
priority to JT’s. By the time Schizophrenic was released,
Justin was so big that no-one could give a toss about JC, and his
debut single was shockingly overlooked by radio and the buying public
alike. In a further unlucky twist, when U.S. radio did pick up on
a track they like (i.e. this one) they pull it the week after JT
and Janet’s Nipplegate incident, and MTV join the backlash
by refusing to play the video because it parodies 70s porn flicks.
Now, we’d expect this from the prudish U.S. but not the UK,
so we’re confused as to why no-one is playing this ace record.
Like the bastard offspring of Bloodhound Gang's ‘Bad Touch’
and Sam Fox’s ‘Touch Me’, the only risqué
thing about this record is JC’s tongue, and that must surely
be placed firmly in his cheek. Go buy this genius slice of dirty
pop and make it No.1 forever.

Principal photography on Lovewrecked began last week on location
in the Caribbean. Lovewrecked is being directed by Randal Kleiser
(director of Grease and Honey I Blew Up the Kid), from a script
written by Stephen Langford. M8 Entertainment's Stewart Hall will
produce, along with Bacon & Eggs' Joe Anderson and Wendy Thorlakson.
In Lovewrecked, Ms. Bynes plays Jenny, an eighteen year-old girl
who is ecstatic when she finds that her favorite rock star, Jason,
is a guest at the tropical resort where she is working for the summer.
When they are both thrown overboard during a cruise, Jenny is even
more thrilled to find herself stranded on a remote beach, alone
with Jason. Jenny soon learns that they are actually just down the
beach from the resort - but Jenny keeps the truth from Jason so
that she will have a chance to win him over. Things get even more
complicated when Jenny's rival Alexis pretends to be shipwrecked
too, and they must compete for Jason's affections.
"We are tremendously excited to have assembled such a talented
cast to star alongside Amanda in Lovewrecked," said M8's Stewart
Hall. "We've always seen this film as a fresh, fun teen comedy
with wide audience appeal, and now this project has become even
more dynamic with these talented and attractive new additions to
the cast," further added Hall.
Also joining the cast is Joey Kern (Grind, Cabin Fever), who will
play Jason's high-strung manager Milo; veteran comic star Fred Willard
(A Mighty Wind, Best in Show) as Jenny's father; Kathy Griffin (Beethoven's
Fifth, Suddenly Susan) as Jason's cutthroat publicist Belinda; Alfonso
Ribeiro ("The Fresh Prince of Bel Air") as the hotel manager;
and Jackie Long (Roommates) as Ryan's friend Chase. Rounding out
the rest of the cast are Suzanne Kent (Honey, I Blew Up the Kid)
and Connor Matheus (The Polar Express, Santa Clause 2) who will
respectively play Cinderella and Otis Venable, guests at the resort.
Lance Bass will also have a role in the film as Dan, a cell-phone
toting assistant to Milo and Belinda...
