“The song I released wasn't even supposed to be a
single. I guess after it came out… they were like,
'You've got to do a record now, it's kind of a big
deal.’”

Stupidisco never dies
(9/16/04) Doug Rule Metro Weekly

...The best duo in dance-pop today, Basement Jaxx is close to topping the [most recent Billboard Hot Dance Music/Club Play] chart with “Good Luck,” featuring full-on disco-styled syncopated strings and adversity-overcoming, gloriously over-the-top vocals from Lisa Kekaula. As of this writing, the song is lodged at the No. 2 spot -- could it get a bump? -- but the bigger scandal is that it’s the first Jaxx track to do well on the chart in years, even though it’s the third release from the Jaxx’s so-good-it’s-k-krazy Kish Kash. (Even the presence of guest vocals from JC Chasez didn’t help “Plug It In” last time out...)

For Marx Fans, Waiting is Over
Fresh from a Grammy win, '80s pop star Richard Marx has released his first album in seven years
(9/16/04) Vanessa Juarez Newsweek

...The heartthrob spoke to NEWSWEEK's Vanessa Juarez about how his audience has changed and why winning the Grammy was bittersweet.

..."I’ve put music out nonstop for the last seven years; it’s just that I haven’t been singing it. People don’t read liner notes. They don’t know that I wrote the *NSYNC song or the Josh Groban song or that song for Barbra Streisand or the new Sister Hazel song or that country record or whatever. So to them, I’ve been working at the car wash for the last seven years..."

Joey Fatone's Exclusive Wedding Photos
(9/15/04) Entertainment Tonight (thanks Eva!)

It was a big, fat, *NSYNC wedding this month for band-boy JOEY FATONE when he married his high school sweetheart, KELLY A. BALDWIN, in a private ceremony on the East Coast.

Tonight on ET, only we have the exclusive photos from the wedding that include Joey surrounded by his groomsmen, celebrating with his new wife at the reception and looking lovingly at each other in front of the altar.

All members of the band *NSYNC, including JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE, were present for the vows that took place at Oheka Castle in Cold Spring Hills, Long Island on September 9. Approximately 255 guests partied at the reception that included a performance by the hit band SOUL SOLUTION. Other celebrity guests included JAMIE-LYNN DiSCALA and the members of the band SMASHMOUTH.

Joey is the first member of the chart-topping boy band to marry. He and his new wife have one child, three-year-old BRIANNA, who was born in March of 2001. Although Joey and Kelly have dated since high school, it was only last June that the singer finally popped the question. The family currently lives in Orlando with their daughter.

Watch ET for the exclusive photos of the happy couple's wedding!
